I am the same age as Donald Trump. He was born June 14, 1946, and I came along about eight months later on February 4, 1947. We are both baby-boomers, turning 80 on our next birthday.
Like Trump, I feel my body slowing down. When I used to walk five miles and think nothing of it, now two miles feels comfortable. I am not afraid to nap for an hour now and then, especially when I have an event in the evening. I lost hearing in my left ear and wear a hearing aid in my right. I have cataract surgery next month. And I could stand to lose a pound or two.
I know when I mis-speak. I know when I can’t find a certain word. I know my verbal skills are not what they once were. If I say something that is not factually accurate, I acknowledge it. My memory has some weak patches, and sometimes I draw a blank on events or activities that happened in the past. However, I am fully in the present moment and feel capable of caring for myself for the foreseeable future.
Even without meeting him anyone can see Trump suffers from myriad medical and mental issues. He has bruises on his hands, but no doctor has acknowledged what causes them. He does not sleep soundly at night and grabs catnaps by day or just goes off the radar and is not seen for hours or days at a time. He scrambles words and lies with abandon. And his narcissist, egotistic personality is more evident than ever.
Trump’s tariffs caused unwanted financial pain. His war with Iran is illegal and shows no sign of ending. He thinks he deserves to destroy the White House with his gaudy ballroom, build a massive arch by the Lincoln Memorial and assume ownership of the Kennedy Center. How does this nightmare end?
Democrats are helpless to pursue any sort of relief as they are not in power. We don’t have the votes to impeach. The 25th Amendment must originate from within the Administration. All that is left is to vote Republicans out of office in the impending mid-term elections. Even that is thrown into chaos by the shenanigans of the Supreme Court, allowing their gerrymander decision to go into effect immediately.
All that’s left are the people. There are 345 million of us. We’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

So agree.
