Today!
March 28, 2026
Morning, Folks.
Today is No Kings Day, which means a lot of people are going to show their support for one another and their anger and disillusion with the Trump Administration. This is a peaceful protest, designed to share our collective unhappiness with the way the government is being run.
That said, I’m staying home. It’s cold, and I’m not one to hang out with a lot of people I don’t know. I tend to bark a lot, and that gets people agitated. I tend to chase squirrels, and that makes squirrels run. I tend to snap at people who try to pet me when I don’t know them. I don’t want to cause trouble, so from my perspective as a dog, the safest plan is to hold the fort at home.
And there’s plenty for me to do right here at home. I can relax on the guest bed, soaking up the sunshine, (if there is any today). I can loll on one of my favorite comfy chairs and not worry about getting stepped on in the crowd. Or I can station myself at the deck door and catch the birds swooping around the bird feeder or a random dog walking down the street.
I do want to express my appreciation and admiration for those of you willing to brave the chill of a late March day and stand around, holding signs, singing, and waving at cars and people passing by. Peaceful protest is a good healthy activity, and I encourage you and your friends and family to take a stand for Democracy and the future of the country.
Thank you,
Kutter
